Senior Night

Dear Parents of RHS football seniors,

On Friday November 6th we will be hosting our last home game and this will be designated as Senior Night. To honor all the seniors who have played for the Thunder we will take a moment before the game to introduce each player individually. Each player will walk out from the goal post onto to the field escorted by two family members (i.e. Mom & Dad). As the players walk out the announcer will read a short personalized statement. This statement needs to be written by the family and turned in by November 3rd. The statements need to be less than 60 words. An example of what this looks like is below:

Bobby we are so very proud to call you our son. We know you are going to be successful and happy in your life. Enjoy your Senior year to the fullest and remember we love you! Mom and Dad

These statements should be emailed to Coach O’Donnell at rodonnell@rocklin.k12.ca.us
We also need to know who is escorting the player and what their relationship is?

The agenda for the evening will be:

• 6:45 Parents meet at goal post under the scoreboard
• 7:00 Senior Intros
• Parents remain after the intro for a group photo.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Thunder and the Timberwolves are coming together to join the fight to end breast cancer.

Come and support their efforts in spirit and in fundraising by participating with them on Friday night the 16th. Get there early, we are expecting a full house!! Don't forget your pink, or pick some up at the stadium...

The Rocklin Thunder Touchdown Club is offering pre-purchase of single game VIP Seats for the Varisty game against Del Oro on November 6, 2009. This is also Senior Night so it will prove to be very crowded !!! Please contact me at wittwer@starstream.net to purchase your seats TODAY. The cost of an individual seat is $35.00. All proceeds go to the RHS football program.

We have good seats still available in Row B and Row C, directly under the Press Box.

This is an easy way to reserve your seat today and not have to deal with getting there early to save seats!

As always, we are also happy to offer VIP seats for the remainder of the home games (3 games). If you become a season seat holder you will reap the benefits of reserved seating for the remainder of the home games, along with reserved parking and be eligible for VIP prize drawings! Online Video - Hudl

RHS Football has recently transitioned to a new video software called Hudl. One of the primary features is the ability for all players, parents and coaches to access game film from any computer with an internet connection. If you do not currently have a Hudl account to watch our film, email Coach Amalong at amalong @ gmail.com.

Rocklin Off to a Fast Start

The Rocklin Thunder are looking strong at 4-0, coming off a 42-19 victory over Skyline of Oakland. The Thunder who head to Napa (2-2) this week have been explosive on offense so far averaging well over 40 points per game, led by Jackson Cummings, Jimmy Laughrea and a slew of receivers. The defense will be looking to continue forcing turnovers as they have all year. In 4 games, the thunder have forced 8 turnovers, 6 of them being fumble recoveries. Napa will prove to be the last test before league play starts against Woodcreek.
